2017 Belfast in bloom runners up work hard to secure first place this year

The local people who run Whiterock’s community garden in Belfast are set for a successful season of growing following a few months hard work.

Last year they entered the annual Belfast in bloom competition, hosted by Belfast City Council and secured second place.

They are encouraging people to get involved and run classes on a Thursday aimed at teaching those with an allotment how to grow their own produce.
