Mairead McCormack discusses how she progressed into the textile industry and how specialising in embroidery provided her with opportunities to work in the creative industry, specifically the art sector.

She also says that specialising in the textile art field has opened up avenues to internships, apprenticeships, events management, commissions and exhibitions.

This has all stemmed from having a creative outlet that she is passionate about.
