Margaret McGuckin belongs to Survivors and victims of institutional abuse (SAVIA), For the last eleven years SAVIA have been campaigning for recognition and compensation.

SAVIA has had recent success with the findings of an inquiry into historical and institutional abuse agreeing that there was systemic abuse in many institutions that were meant to take care of children.

On May 7th a judicial review of previous rulings will conclude.
