The Atlantic Bar Portrush to be replaced by a £6.6m hotel

The Atlantic Bar Portrush, has built up a reputation as one of Northern Ireland’s top live music venues.

In 2019  previously disputed proposals where accepted, allowing the sale and renovation of the Grade 1 listed building. Rajesh Rana, a renowned hotelier plans to turn the current local hub into a £6.6m boutique hotel.

The initial proposal for the hotel received 244 objections from residents in the area. Although small renovations have already begun, Portrush locals ignore the wreckage, determined to enjoy the bar for as long as possible.
